The ball cage is on the chassis of the car. Its function is to connect the half shaft and the wheel. It is actually a universal joint, so that the power can be continuously transmitted to the wheel in any direction (mainly wheel bounce). If it is broken, The transmission of power may be interrupted. Of course, the car can't run. Even if it can run, the direction will deviate. Look at whether there is a gap in the half-shaft ball cage of the entire front axle. The cage gap is too large, and the front wheels will shake slightly when starting. There is an obvious power transfer process when you release the throttle. You can also feel it with your hands, hold the half shaft tightly, and turn it back and forth quickly to see if there is a gap. Generally, the new ball cage is tightly matched, with almost no gap, at least not felt by hand. The ball cage rubber sleeve is filled with high temperature resistant lubricating oil (molybdenum disulfide), which is black and blue. Its characteristic is that it can still have a good shape and lubrication effect under high temperature environment. This is the general butter can not reach.
